Many beautiful, restored show cars and trucks were on display at the Vietnam Veterans (VVA) Car Show – Chico 2019 VVA Car Show held at the Chico Elk’s Lodge in August 2019. The sheer number of entries was staggering. There was a wonderful motorcycle or two, as well (gallery to come).
Capturing images on this summer day was quite fun as there was light cloud cover providing better light quality and reducing deep shadows. Still, with so many highlights from shiny surfaces, there were many opportunities to place the sky and other elements in the reflective surfaces. Yes, fun!
I hope viewing my images tells a bit of a story about the event, as well. Thanks for taking a look.
You may notice I step a bit closer when capturing my images for this project. I challenge myself to go beyond viewing the vehicle in abstract and attempting to use it as a canvas to capture more elements in the image.
